Tête-à-Terra was situated in Strijp-S, at Ketelhuisplein, during the eight-day celebration of Dutch Design Week—an event dedicated to exploring both the design of the future and the future of design. Two independent walls face each other, forming a serene, intimate space for spontaneous encounters and moments of reflection. Constructed from earth bricks, a sustainable material made from the unique soils of Cappadocia, Türkiye, and repurposed ceramic waste, the pavilion’s mission is to foster meaningful human connections in a space designed for pause and reflection.

In a world increasingly driven by technological advancements, the pavilion offers a much-needed invitation to reconnect with nature. It stands as a sanctuary where individuals can find solace, grounding, and support. By offering a place for genuine human interaction and reflection, it encourages visitors to take a break from the relentless pace of modern life and engage with the present moment. This space creates a temporary escape, allowing people to pause, reflect, and rediscover a connection to the natural world.
